4 Tips For Smelling Fresh Throughout The Day

Women are beautiful, alluring creatures. We are passionate, strong and radiant within our own right. We are unique, we are gifted and we are smelly. Wait, what..?

Body odour is something we all want to eradicate. Of course there are a variety of home remedies that you could trawl through to try and ease the pungent nature of your perspiration. You could try rubbing lemons and limes on your armpits (seriously, people do that), or you could try bathing in baking soda. Alternatively, you could change your diet to remove foods that are known for resulting in unpleasant odours. The biggest culprits being onions, red meats, cheeses and curries. But if you’re like me and you’re a foodie at heart, this option is not even worth considering.

Following these 4 steps will lead to confidence, freshness and, ultimately, smelling like a lady.

Step 1. It starts in the shower. Lather, rinse, relax.

Nothing beats a hot shower to start the day. Not only is it the perfect opportunity to unleash your inner pop diva but it also provides the ideal starting point for your ‘get phresh’ morning routine. Studies have shown that the majority of women universally see the shower as an escape, allowing a space to de-stress and mentally prepare for the day ahead. Besides cleansing ourselves of yesterday’s adventures, showering in the morning also reduces the risk of becoming anxious and stressed throughout the day, in turn, reducing the rate at which we sweat.

Step 2. Deodorant v Antiperspirant.

What's the difference between deodorants and antiperspirants? Step 3. Fragrance.

A good fragrance is the next consideration. Traditionally a fragrance is applied in the form of a perfume, however, fragrances are now offered in the form of body lotions, shower gels, soaps and more. Layering is a popular concept whereby you utilise these multiple forms of fragrances and put them together to build your overall scent. The aim of this is that you end up smelling twice, or even thrice, as beautiful and fresh. Layering also increases the length of time your fragrance is likely to be noticeable.

Step 4. Spray beyond the skin.

Our final tip is to spray beyond the skin.
